OUR SIX PART BRIDGE TRAINING PROGRAM

BELONGING: COURSE #1: Understanding Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging

Here we learn how recognizing each others’ differences (Diversity), being treated fairly (Equity), and making sure people are heard, appreciated and valued (Inclusion) are all necessary pre-requisites for belonging to emerge.

RESPECTING: COURSE #2: Generational Diversity

Generational diversity is an example of diversity in the workplace. Here we explore how we can foster belonging by appreciating ho every age group contributes unique and valuable perspectives. When organizations celebrate this diversity, they create a culture where all employees—regardless of their generation—feel seen, respected, and connected to a larger purpose.

INTEGRATING: COURSE #3. Cognitive Diversity

Fostering belonging in the workplace requires whole-brain thinking where all four social styles—the Expressive, Analytical, Amiable, and Driver— are each valued for their unique contributions.

We often overlook the contribution others make since we are primarily focused on our own strengths. Awareness of this helps to respect and collaboration. In this course we explore the strengths and weaknesses of each style, and how:

    • Analyticals ensure precision and risk management
    • Drivers achieve results and maintain focus on goals
    • Expressives drive innovation and team energy
    • Amiables promote harmony and trust

DEFENDING: COURSE #4. Psychological Safety

True belonging happens when individuals feel psychologically safe enough to be themselves without masking or changing who they are to fit in. When people show up as they are, it encourages others to do the same, thereby creating a more inclusive and accepting environment. In this course we take a close look at how we can balance psychological safety while at the same time maintaining motivation and accountability.

GRIT: COURSE #5. Stress Hardiness & Emotional Resilience.

Practicing diversity, equity, and inclusion and being willing to move out of our comfort zone means expending additional mental and physical energy since it challenges our brain and body to adapt to unfamiliar situations. Developing stress hardiness and emotional resilience is therefore essential for creating balance in the workplace by enabling individuals and teams to navigate challenges, adapt to change, and maintain productivity without succumbing to burnout or conflict.

EMPOWERING: COURSE #6. By-Stander Intervention Training

Bystander Intervention Training is closely related to practicing belonging in the workplace because it empowers employees to take action against behaviors that threaten inclusion, respect, and safety. By equipping individuals with the skills to intervene when necessary, this training fosters an environment where everyone feels protected, valued, and part of a supportive community.
