At Canucks Autism Network, we are dedicated to equipping autistic youth and adults with the employment skills they need to succeed in the workplace. A key aspect of this is teaching essential soft skills, which are often crucial for long-term success. To help support this, we brought in Geoff Frost to provide training in Emotional Intelligence, and his impact has been profound.

Geoff went above and beyond in his commitment to understanding the unique needs of our participants. He took the time to learn about autism and thoughtfully adjusted his training style to ensure it was effective and engaging for our groups. His adaptability and dedication have made him an invaluable part of our program.

Over the course of multiple cohorts, Geoff’s sessions became a highlight for our participants. His ability to connect with and empower individuals has made him a favourite guest speaker, and his contributions have truly enhanced our program. We are grateful for Geoff’s expertise and passion, and his work has positively impact the lives of those we serve.

“Geoff’s Understanding Diversity and Inclusion sessions are engaging and insightful and have provided our newcomer clients with valuable tools to navigate today’s diverse workplace. Geoff brought incredible energy, passion, and deep knowledge to his sessions, making complex topics like unconscious bias, inclusivity, and cultural awareness easy to understand and apply. Through practical strategies and self-reflection, participants gained a greater awareness of how to foster positive workplace relationships and become allies in creating inclusive environments. This workshop has had a meaningful impact on our clients, equipping them with essential skills to enhance their job search and workplace success.” –

Carleen Ferguson, Career Paths for Skilled Immigrants Program Coordinator.

Geoff is a consummate professional with deep knowledge of D&I. When I managed BC Hydro’s Recruitment Team he was able to source high quality applicants by taking the time to understand our R&S process end to end. Several of Geoff’s referrals are now long term employees, a testament to him understanding our business & value alignment.

More recently as I’ve changed business roles but also Chair the BC Hydro Cultural Exchange Employee Network. Geoff has shared his expertise in cognitive bias and neurological context. This is shaping our delivery of workshops and awareness sessions for employees. We recently had a successful Exploring Unconscious Bias workshop with 50 attendees and members of our executive team!

I look forward to working with Geoff for several years in his new capacity!

Raj Sharma – Senior Key Account Manager at BC Hydro.

I have had the pleasure of working with Geoff directly now for the past 3 years, in which time Geoff has served as an Employment Specialist. Geoff is an exceptional communicator, gifted in the art of persuasion, which is demonstrated regularly in his negotiations with prospective employers. Geoff has had tremendous success placing clients into employment utilizing his extensive network of employer contacts. He is also experienced in accessing other types of employer supports (training, subsidies, etc.) in order to ease the process of hiring a new employee. Geoff knows the value of working together and has even taken on a leadership role within our team of placement services professionals by organizing and chairing Job Developer/ Marketing meetings.

Geoff also serves as Back in Motion’s Diversity Coordinator, responsible for coordinating efforts of the Diversity committee. These efforts include diversity and inclusion training, awareness and educational opportunities, including workshops, newsletters, conferences, etc. These trainings have been invaluable to our culturally diverse team.

Geoff’s passion for his work has made him an asset to our team. I am proud to provide this recommendation on his behalf.

Chris Hildebrand, Regional Manager at WCG Services.

I first met Geoff in 2008 through Back in Motion when I was a new Immigrant to Canada. Geoff assisted me as a Job Developer and Industry Liaison for over 15 months in every aspect of my professional search until I was successfully hired by BC Hydro. During that time I had the privilege to attend his seminars, which he conducted wonderfully. He also invested considerable time and creative effort in helping me discover my potential and the best fit for my skills. I am very grateful for he always was willing to go the extra mile.
Recently, in 2012, I contacted Geoff and hired his services as an EQ Career Coach during my International professional search. Once again Geoff developed a successful plan that resulted in my being hired by my first choice of employer in New Zealand. His plan included an Emotional Coefficient test which was an eye-opening lesson in my strengths and area that were in need of improvement. We tailored my resume for each potential employer so as to reflect my skills in a way that related to their needs as well as the particular style of each country we focused on. Once again Geoff was fully committed to the task, brought valuable tools and knowledge to the table and stayed focused on the objectives.

Geoff’s passion for his profession is absolutely admirable. His word is gold, his commitment 100% and he has superior people skills which allows him to adapt to each person and their situation. He is equally capable to assist a CEO in his new career move as he is in helping a displaced person planning a new start. Geoff is constantly researching new tools, ideas and keeping up with the changing times. When it comes to career coaching, EQ or searching for ideas outside the box, Geoff is the man to call.

Over the last few years I’ve worked with Geoff on numerous projects. As an active member on the Advisory Committee with the Job Developers’ Resource Network, Geoff has a strong propensity for process AND results. He is very cerebral, has an amazing ability to ask the right questions to push initiatives forward, and takes on intricate projects with ease. I have witnessed his acts of genius and been in awe of his complex ‘mind maps’. Geoff’s facilitation style – his intuitive manner that engages people and his ‘what you see is what you get’ demeanor, makes Geoff one of the most authentic career practitioners in the field. Every team needs vision, action-orientation, and a solution-focused approach. Therefore, Geoff is a ‘must have’ on any team.
